Smoking is harmful to health.
It causes heart and lung diseases. It may also cause cancer. Doctors have proved that smoking leads to early death. Therefore, it is banned in cinemas,
theatres , and all closed places.
    - It is crystal clear that …….. *

    It can't be denied that…..*
It goes without saying that ….*

    Last but not least, ………….
    In my opinion, …………..*
As far as I am concerned…..

    on one hand من ناحية
on the other hand
in addition to that

As the world’s population continues to grow and climate change makes it more difficult to produce food in the traditional way, scientists are developing new ways of growing plants efficiently.
One of these ways is growing plants without soil. Although this may sound like a modern process, it is not new technology. Ancient Egyptian writings describe how plants were grown in water, and early examples include the famous gardens of Babylon and floating gardens built by the Aztecs in Mexico.
In traditional farming, soil protects the roots of plants, but scientists have shown that plants do not need soil to grow. As long as they can get nutrients from somewhere, they will grow successfully. To grow plants without soil, special fertilizer is added to water and the plants take this in through their roots.
Recently, this technology has developed very quickly. It is common in northern Europe where it is used to grow food crops. Vegetables have even been grown in submarines and astronauts have produced food in space using this technology.
Many people think that growing plants in water could help to solve the world’s food problems. As cities become larger, there is less land for agriculture. Countries with little land for growing crops could produce more of their food without soil. This way can also be used in areas with poor soil, such as deserts, and in areas near the sea where salt water is damaging the soil.
Perhaps soon there will be no areas of the world where food cannot be produced.

Really, we can't imagine our lives without woman. In fact, man and woman are two faces of one coin. Woman plays an important role in modern societies. She is the cornerstone of any society. Woman shares fully in the life of society with man. She has proved her worth جدارتها  in every field of life. She works in factories, hospitals and schools. She has become a ministress and even a prime ministress in some societies. She has a say in her country's policy. Woman has proved that there is no difference between man and woman in handling any kind of work. She can even handle certain tasks better than man can do. Besides, on her shoulder lies the responsibility of bringing up children.
Woman has made great efforts towards equality with man. She has come a long way and she still has a long way to go on for equal opportunities. But the result was rather bad. Some working women sometimes neglect the very thing she is basically responsible for : the housework and children.

The fact that the world is running out of oil disturbs تزعج the minds of energy scientists. The world's oil reserveمخزون البترول العالمي  will come to an end in the near future. Consequently, scientists are looking for alternative sources of energy so as to face this problem. They are thinking of the atom, the sun, the wind, the water and even rubbish. The five mentioned sources are thought to supply energy in the future.
Nuclear fission انشطار that is the splitting of the atom as in the atomic bomb, may be used in the future to supply uranium which can be used for running تشغيل  our factories. The sun is another useful source of energy because generators in space can be used to send energy to the Earth. The wind power can help man to generate cheap and clean energy. Water is used for getting hydro-electric power. In addition to that, rubbish is burnt for energy. To sum up, scientists should do their best to create new sources of energy to face the challenge of the third millennium.

It has been taken for granted أصبح من المسلم به that electricity is indispensable لا

Electricity is a mysterious power قوة غامضة which can drive تشغل machines and different kinds of devices. It is produced by various means such as batteries and generators. We can also generate electricity using  waterfalls, wind, the atomic power as well as the sun.
In fact, the advantages of electricity are endless. It helps man to increase production as it drives machines in our factories. We use it to illuminate ينير houses, streets and schools. It is used to run the household apparatuses الأجهزة المنزلية like the fridge, the water heater, the fans and many other sets. Saving energy is necessary. That's why we should cut down our consumption.

Water is the source of life on earth. Human beings, animals and plants need water to survive. Human beings  use water in their daily activities. They use it  for drinking, cooking, cleaning and washing. Water is used by animals for drinking and washing. Unless plants get water, they fadeيذبل  and die. Hence,ومن ثم  we can't do without it.
Since water is so necessary for survival, البقاء people should use it wisely. In other words, we should cut down our consumptionاستهلاك  of water. We ought to keep water as long as we can. People who use water carelessly have to be fined. We should co¬operate to re-cycle the sanitary or drainageالصرف  water and reuse it in a useful way. Water is so vital that wars in the future will be for water not for land.

It is taken for granted that the youths are the corner-stoneحجر الزاوية  upon which the country's progress depends. As they enjoy a lot of rights, they have responsibilities to shoulder. They have to be true citizens who obey and respect laws, rules and regulations. Since they are in the flower of youth, full of strength and energy, they can work in their spare time to help develop their motherland in all fields of life.
Thanks to human inventiveness, إبداع computers now cover all aspects مظاهر of our life. Computers help man to extend يمد the power of his mind. Without them, a lot of our technological miracles, معجزات would be impossible. They have greatly helped to make our life easier and more comfortable. Since computers are of great benefit,  ذو نفع كبير they are used on a large scale.
Computers are used in hospitals to check patients' records سجلات and diagnose يشخص some diseases. Schools cannot do without them. They are used in factories and banks to improve and facilitate يسهل work. TV, radio, hotels, telecommunications, الاتصالات trains, ships, planes etc ... depend on computers in their work. Really, the world of computer is endless. In spite of all these facts, computers are our servant خادم and not our masters سيد متحكم yet.

Education is not an end in itself but a means to an end. Education is an indispensable necessity for any country to achieve progress, welfare and prosperity. Any country's civilization is measured by the standard of education in it. An educated person is secure from ignorance and poverty.
He is able to work and produce a lot in all fields of life. An illiterate man is a great obstacle in the way of progress and development.
Education should be well made use of to increase production. Any country should make full use of educated people by setting up projects in different fields of life. Education should be directed to face the challenges and needs of society and to solve its problems. In brief, education is of a permanent importance for any country to go on the route of progress.

Music is the food of spirit. It expresses our inner feelings well. It helps us to forget our daily cares and pains. It takes us away from the land of reality into the world of imagination. Music sometimes inspires poets and writes to produce masterpieces of art. Music is also used in curing some psychological diseases.
There are different kinds of music like Jazz and Folk Music. Each kind of music appeals to a certain class of people. Youth usually like Jazz music best. The old usually prefer classical music. Music differs from one country to another. Music expresses and reflects each country's culture, customs and traditions. In brief, music is of utmost importance to all people whether young or old.

Egypt is rich in natural resources and man power. Egypt is the gift of the Nile. God grants Egypt fine mild weather all the year round. Its nature is fascinating. Its sunshine can be used in generating solar power. This can in turn be used in industry and in all fields of life. Egypt also lies on the red and Mediterranean coasts. Their water can be used to generate electricity.
The government does its best to make use of these gifts. It establishes dams to save this water. It also makes use of the solar power in industries. These gifts enable Egypt to establish a lot of industries in all fields. Water also helps Egypt to be an agricultural country besides being a promising industrial one. Above all, Egypt is a first class tourist country.

Unemployment is a great danger to society. The unemployed person is more likely to do wrong. So every young man should do his best to look for a job. They can start off with setting up their own business. They should also travel abroad to find a job. Any graduate should be well qualified to apply for the job he likes. The private sector قطاع خاص  role is very important. It can provide youth with good jobs with excellent salaries. The government should do its best to provide all the youth with suitable jobs. The government should also set up new projects everywhere especially in Toshka to provide young men with many job opportunities.

Setting up new cities is very important. They can relieve pressure on crowded cities like Cairo and Alex. They can also solve many problems such as housing and transport problems. Setting up new cities will also help a lot in solving the unemployment problem.
The government does its best to set up new cities such as The Six of October and the Tenth of Ramadan cities. It also conquers the desert to reclaim it and set up new projects there such as Toshka project. These new cities open new horizons for youth to work, produce a lot and achieve progress to our beloved country.

Overpopulation is a very dangerous problem. It hinders the progress of any country, people suffer from a shortage of food. Over population devours every increase in production. It is the cause of many other problems such as housing, and traffic jams problems. We can solve this problem by invading, reclaiming and reconstructing the desert. We should respond to birth control and family planning call. Mass media should lend a hand in solving this problem by showing the ill effects of over population. People should know well that a small family means a better and a comfortable life.

Really, peace leads to prosperity whereas war leads to destruction. Peace means safety. In time of peace, we live happily and carry out important projects. This will leads to the welfare of our country. Peace and stability are twins. But for peace, there wouldn't be any technological achievements all over the world. Thus Egypt always adopts the peaceful attitude in its relations with other countries.
War means nothing but fear and terror. In time of war, people don't have freedom to live happily. War threatens the security of any country. War holds back development and destroy the infrastructure of any country. To sum up, peace leads to the happiness of humanity and war leads to nothing but destruction and misery.

Can anybody or any society dispense with the internet or satellites nowadays ? Of
course not. They are of utmost importance to all people. Without them any society will be helplessly cripple. How can a country keep pace with the up-to-date discoveries or inventions without them? It is a difficult equation. The link all the world together. This is what we call globalization. They are used in all fields of life such as the fields of media, industry, agriculture and medicine. To sum up, the benefits of satellites and the internet are countless in all fields of life.

In my opinion. I'd like to say that tourism is really important and necessary nowadays and will have good and positive effects on all of us. I think so because tourism will bring all the good to our society. On one hand, tourism is an important source of income for Egypt. We can encourage tourists to visit Egypt by building more modern hotels and good roads, and providing fast transport. We have numerous places of interest which appeal to tourists such as the pyramids, the Sphinx, the Egyptian museums and ancient temples and mosques. On the other hands, we should behave towards tourists in a civilized manner and welcome them to our country. Thus tourism is very necessary and plays an important part. In our life in addition to that we shouldn't forget home tourism and encourage it by all possible means. Finally, one can say that tourism is very vital to our economy and that no country can do without it.

Gone is the time when man depended on his hand and his mind only. The age of the computer has already started. In fact computers are being used more and more in the world today for the simple reason that they are more efficient than human beings. They have better memories and can store huge amounts of information. In fact, they can do many of the things we do, but faster and better. Computers are used now in our schools. Students can learn how to operate it through teachers of computer. In brief, the computer is a great scientific miracle that has helped man to achieve progress.

A hobby is a subject that one studies for amusement. Many people spend a good deal of their time on their hobbies.
Some people are very much interested in collecting stamps. They classify their collections of stamps according to date or countries. They also keep them in nice albums.
Others are very devoted to catching fish. They spend long hours on thebanks of rivers or lakes to satisfy this desire.
Some have a fancy swimming whereas others take a fancy to practicing sports or doing exercises. They spend most of their leisure in the sporting clubs.
But as regards me, I am very fond of reading that unlocks to me the vast field of
     knowledge. I enjoy

Youth play a vital role in the lives of nations. They are the backbone of any nation. Without the efforts and energies of youth, any country will suffer from backwardness. They do all within their power to reconstruct, defend and build up their country. They share in every field and every aspect of life. They carry out vital projects which benefit their country a lot. They defend their country in time of war. They lead it to progress, prosperity and welfare in time of peace.

Parents are the dearest creature in our lives. They give us life, love and affections. They have much mercy on us. They bring up, educate and clothe us well. They give us the feeling of safety in life. All countries of the world celebrate Mother's day in gratitude of her sacrifices for our sake. So we should be grateful and obedient to our parents who deny يحرموا  themselves the cheap and the dear for our sake. We should also look after them when they become old. We should treat them gently and provide them with all their needs. To sum up, we should give ample care and love to our parents.

Traveling abroad is a mixed blessing. On the one hand, we get much benefit from travelling abroad. We acquire much knowledge about the customs and traditions of the country we travel to. We earn much money through travelling abroad. On the other hand, we face difficulties. People are different. You have no relatives to help you in hard times. Travelling abroad widens our scopes and horizons. It also adds so much to our experience in life. Above all, we also get acquainted with foreign cultures.

The Nile, is a source of life to Egypt. It is considered a chief source of wealth, welfare and prosperity to Egypt. We enjoy drinking its fresh pure water. We irrigate our lands from it. Vast areas of land are reclaimed with the help of the Nile. Egypt is the gift of the Nile. We should not throw waste into our dear Nile. We should keep it clean and pure.
Without the Nile, Egypt would be a desert barren land. The Nile is the lifeblood of Egypt. Without the Nile, life would be impossible in Egypt.

We can not do without friends in our lives. Friends play an outstanding role in our lives. Without friends, we will lose much. We benefit much from friends. They help us in happy and sad times. They lend us money when we need it. They advise us when we are in trouble.
Good friends reflect our defects and our advantages. They usually protect us from danger. Bad friends destroy our lives. So, we should be careful in choosing friends.

Individuals, companies and factories should find ways to control the waste. Clean streets and roads are the demandمطلب of every citizen. So individuals mustn't throw anything in the streets. Hence,ومن ثم  laws must be passedقوانين تسن to punish those who are careless.

No one can deny the great advantages of the  mobile phone. It facilitates يسهل the tasks of businessmen to get in contact with يتصل their partners شركاء in no time and anywhere. Forests are trees and plants that cover large areas. They are important for environment conservation. Without forests, the balanceتوازن  of our globe breaks down. We get food either by eating plants, food manufactured from plants, or animals that have eaten plants. The leaves of trees and plants are like factories, producing everything they need by a process called "photosynthesis".
Photosynthesis is vital for  ضروريour survival. All animals breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide which is poisonous to animals if they breathe in too much. Fortunately, trees and plants take in carbon dioxide and take out oxygen. In fact, each year, the plants of the world extract تستخلص about 150 billion tons of this poisonous gas from the air. It's easy to see that if the balance of nature is changed, for example by cutting down too many trees, we will actually be taking away our oxygen-making factories and could slowly poison ourselves.

Every year a great number of young people finish their studies at universities and wait for a government job. It's too difficult for the government to employ such an army of graduates. That's why those newly graduates had better have a business of their own. The time lost waiting for the job can be exploited in running a small business. Moreover, it is said that the more you work, the more you gain.
Running small businesses for the newly graduates has many advantages. Through it, the young man can get a lot of experience that surely will help develop his work later on. He can also employ others to manage his work well. Hard work leads to more success and the small business could be expanded and earns a lot of money. Above all, the person who does so will enjoy being his own boss. In this way, young people raise their own income and improve their nation's economy.

It is not an exaggeration to say that citizenship is one of the most important characteristics of the Egyptian society. All Egyptians are equal. There is no difference between Muslims and Christians. They have the same rights and do the same duties. They are the two elements of the nation. All Egyptians always say, "Religion is for God and Egypt is for all" This means that there is no distinction between the sons of Egypt due to religion. Although Christians in Egypt are a minority, they are given all rights and privileges that are given to Muslims who constitute 90% of the population of Egypt.
National unity and good relations between Muslims and Christians is not a
slogan but rather a tangible reality reflected in the unique experience of the people. In all wars and revolutions, we saw Christians and Muslims fighting their enemies in defense of our dear country. Muslims and Christians in Egypt are always partners in joy and annoy. When a Christian gets married, his Muslim friends and neighbours go to the church to attend his wedding party and vice versa. Whenever a Muslim dies, Christians condole his family and vice versa. On feasts, both Muslims and Christians exchange gifts and good wishes. Finally, I'd like to point out that Egypt will ever remain a homeland for all its sons

No one can deny that money is a mixed blessing. نعمة ونقمة in other words, it is a good servant but a bad master. On the one hand, money helps us to get all our needs but we should not earn it in a dishonest way. With the help of money problems can be solved. Money makes money and with money people can lead a comfortable life.
On the other hand money is the root of all evils. For the sake of getting money some people deceive, kill and commit crimes. Wars are waged تشعل الحروب and thousands of people are killed because of money.

The importance of the Internet grows rapidly in all fields of human life, including not only research and education but also marketing and trade as well as entertainment and hobbies. This implies يتضمنthat it becomes more and more important to know how to use Internet services and, as a part of this, to read and write English.
But although Internet services themselves are, generally speaking, easy to learn and use, you will find yourself isolated معزولon the Internet if you are not familiar with English.                         34- Making the best use of spare time"

Time is gold. The time wasted is too hard to regain . So we have to make the best use of our time. If we have a spare time we can make a plan to spend it doing useful things. The wise person is one who spends his / her time carefully in a proper way. Some people prefer to read a useful book, or a story. In this way they increase their information and knowledge in different aspects.
Some others prefer to practise sports. So they renew their energy, activate their minds, and strengthen their bodies. . Young men prefer to spend most of their time playing computer games, which can be useful in developing their abilities and computer skills.

In my view, life in the past was quieter and easier. Modern-means of transport tike cars, trains and planes were not there. Consequently, there were almost no air-pollutants. Vast areas of land were cultivated. People depended mainly on agriculture as their main earner. In the past there was shortage of medical care. Cholera and other serious epidemics were attacking many people for a time. At present, nearly all epidemics vanished thanks to medical care.
Nowadays, we hear every now and then of new discoveries such as the Femto second, and new inventions such as the computerized car. Also there are various means of entertainment. In short, life today has become more complicated.

A friend of mine lived in the country. He used to swim and wash himself in the small canal near our village. Many times, I saw him and advised him not to do so to protect himself from Bilharzias but he wasn't listening. He repeated what he was doing for many years until he was ill. A doctor examined him and found that Bilharzias had attacked his liver and other organs of his body. He became ill with worry, weak and pale. He took the required medicine, which cost him a lot of money. I met him later and when he saw me, smiled and said, you were right, prevention is better that cure.
38- Pros and cons of Advertisements
Every time you watch an interesting movie or a video film, ads pop out on the screen to cut the flow of events and get you out of your mood. Ads are also likely to strengthen the time of the movie that you get too bored to watch the end. Sometimes they are vulgar to be watched by the whole family. On the other hand, ads bring a lot of money which encourages TV companies to buy new films and pay money to broadcast football matches. This in turn motivates يحفز production companies to produce more films and programmes of all kinds to sell to private and space channels which buy them to attract more viewers. As for us, ads help us to choose the goods we need easily without spending much time and efforts looking at shop windows here and there.

Street children are like a time bomb that could go off at any moment and destroy the State, especially in Egypt’s difficult current circumstances
It might be hard to tell how many children are living on the street in Egypt, but one thing is clear--the numbers are very large and almost certainly growing.
These children lead an unhealthy and often dangerous life that leaves them deprived of their basic needs for protection, guidance, and supervision and exposes them to different forms of exploitation and abuse.
They are easy prey for people who want to destroy this country. They give these children money and drugs, then order them to do anything. They were there outside the Institut d’Egypte when it was set on fire
But not all the street children are saboteurs المخربين; many of them went to Tahrir during the 18-day revolution, where the protesters embraced احتضنت them and made them feel as if they were part of one big family.
NGOs and governmental organizations must work together to embrace the street children and help reintegrate إعادة الاندماج them into society, to stop them being exploited.
UNICEF and  Egyptian Associations make great efforts to Protect and to improve the lives of street children and to educate and empower individual boys and girls.

Cloning is the latest technology in the field of medicine nowadays. Scientists hope to use cloning to produce new cells, organs and rare types of blood .They also hope to use this new technology to find cures for a lot of fatal diseases.
There are many advantages for cloning for example being able to recreate extinct animals and save the endangered wild life.. Cloning also helps scientists in the field of medical research. It could help them to replace damaged cells and damaged organs .There is also a possibility that cloning could prolong human life.
Another point is that Cloning would make a big step in future that will make the world better with smaller death rate and helps people to live a better and happier life.
The disadvantaged for cloning is that it is a high risk that the cloned animal or human will have many defects. It is possible that the clone will create diseases. Cloning is also expensive and before getting the clone millions and millions would be spend. Another disadvantage is that as it will be legalized (it is illegal now, in most countries) It is against God's will.
I believe that cloning is a process that might help in the future to prevent some diseases, but there is a lot of risk to take. There are as many advantages as disadvantages and one can cover the other one. I think that it would lead to a better future if it would be done accurately .
Human cloning will benefit medical research, and those who suffer from fatal diseases. The possibilities of advancement in all fields of science as well as life are endless. Therefore, society should be open to human cloning and use this technology wisely
